Koit Herodes – best teacher from the Institute of Chemistry!
On the 21st of June 2022, it was announced that the students of the University of Tartu selected Associate Professor Dr. Koit Herodes as the best teacher from the Institute of Chemistry.
University of Tartu is the No 1 university of the “New Europe”!
On Apr 25, 2018 The Times Higher Education published its ranking of the best research universities in “New Europe” – the 13 nations that have joined the European Union since 2004. The University of Tartu in Estonia was ranked number one in the list! Besides being the best in the overall ranking, UT is the No 1 also for its research environment.
Estimation of Measurement Uncertainty in Chemical Analysis – e-course of the year!
On Apr 16, 2015 the consortium Estonian e-University awarded the title “e-course of the year” to the web course (MOOC) Estimation of Measurement Uncertainty in Chemical Analysis! This, together with the very positive feedback of the participants is a strong motivator for us to continue developing and delivering this course.
Ivo Leito – university teacher of the year 2015
On Oct 3, 2015 at the Gala of the teachers of the year 2015 Ivo Leito received the award “University teacher of the year 2015”.
Mart Noorma – Person of the Year 2013 in Estonia
On Dec 27, 2013 Postimees, a prominent Estonian Daily newspaper, has awarded its annual title “person of the year 2013” to Mart Noorma – the initiator and scientific mentor of the Student satellite project ESTCube-1. This title is each year awarded by Postimees to a person who has during the year accomplished something significant, with impact expected to last for years to come.
MSC Euromaster Graduation Ceremony 2010
On Oct 26, 2010 a ceremony was held at the EC JRC-IRMM (Geel, Belgium) where the first 32 Euromaster certificates were awarded to the students from seven European universities. Among the awardees of this prestigious certificate were also 6 students of the Applied Measurement Science Programme. Longer story about the ceremony can be found here.
