The title of the thesis was “Methodological development and validation of Sample treatment and Source preparation procedures and Liquid Scintillation counting measurements for Determination of 226Ra in Drinking water”. 226Ra is a potentially dangerous radionuclide for people using ground water as drinking water. A large number of different influencing factors were tested and evaluated in the thesis and a serious uncertainty budget was compiled, which can be of high interest to scientists working in the area of radionuclide determination.
